We are now accepting nominations for the APWA Monterey Bay Chapter Awards! These annual awards honor outstanding individuals and projects that have made a significant impact on the public works profession and our local communities.
We encourage you to nominate deserving colleagues and noteworthy projects that exemplify excellence in our field. Nominees do not need to be APWA members (though preference is given), and individuals previously recognized by the Chapter are not eligible again.
Deadline to submit nominations: December 10, 2026. Nominations should be for projects substantially completed in the 2025-2026 calendar year.
Award Categories:
- Administrative Person of the Year: Honors someone with outstanding administrative accomplishments supporting public works.
- Public Works Person of the Year: Recognizes an individual for exceptional contributions to the public works field.
- Young Professional of the Year: Celebrates a young professional (around age 35 or under) demonstrating excellence and leadership in public works.
- Public Works Project of the Year: Highlights exceptional public works projects that were substantially completed between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2026, emphasizing teamwork among agencies, consultants, contractors, and the community.

Supporting documentation, company logos, and high-resolution project photos separately. These photos and logos will be used for the slideshow.
- The application is limited to 20 pages, exclusive of photographs.
